Paecilomyces is a genus of nematophagous fungus which kills harmful nematodes by pathogenesis, causing disease in the nematodes. Thus, the fungus can be used as a bionematicide to control nematodes by applying to soil.
  • Paecilomyces effectively destroys the nematode eggs by producing the enzymes. The enzymes penetrate into the nematode egg shell and destroy the nematode egg.
