Product details
Beauveria Bassiana
Beauveria bassiana is an entomopathogenic filamentous fungus which has higher
potential for biological control of sucking and defoliator insect pests. The spore of the fungus contact with the cuticle
(skin) of the target pest insect, germinates and grows directly through the spiracle in the cuticle into the inner body
of the host. The fungus by taking nutrients from the insect proliferates and colonizes the entire insect and thus drains
the nutrient content of when comes in the insect and the infected insects eventually die. Isolates of Beauveria bassiana
are induced to produce higher concentrations of bioactive proteins that are active against insect pest.
- Effectively kills all types of insect pests.
- Provides an environmentally responsive substitute to chemical pesticides.
- Natural, easy to formulate, less toxic to mammals or vertebrates or non-target organisms, no residual activity and less chance to develop resistance.
